Hurt……….Daniel Zane Barbour, age 78 of Hurt died Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence.

Born November 24, 1940 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Otha Clifton Barbour and Sallie Dalton Barbour.  Mr. Barbour was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Davis Barbour; and three sisters, Toni Hicks, Priscilla Hendricks, and Juline Holt.  He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Babcock and Wilcox.  Mr. Barbour enjoyed playing the guitar, and blue grass music.

He is survived by one son, Ricky Barbour and wife, Christi of Aylett; one daughter, Debbie Barbour of Hurt; and two grandchildren, Allison Barbour, and Jamie Walker.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
