Hurt………Yvonne Worsham Guthrie, age 86 of Hurt died Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Born March 9, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Brantley Lee Elliott and Flossie Mae Rowland Elliott.  She was predeceased by one son, Randy Worsham; and one brother, Gene Elliott.  Mrs. Guthrie was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church and she retired from Lane Company.  She was devoted to her family; and she loved her church and her church family.  Mrs. Guthrie enjoyed traveling and music.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas "Sonny" Guthrie of Hurt; three daughters, Debbie W. Crews and husband, Randy of Long Island, Rhonda W. Reynolds of Hurt and Vicki Guthrie of Altavista; one son, Douglas Guthrie and wife, Renee of Altavista; one sister, Hilda Motley and husband, Ellis of Lynchburg; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Brad Hendrix.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
