Sandy Level…….Willis Alfred Landrum, Jr., age 74 of Sandy Level passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab of Altavista.

Born November 11, 1951, in Danville, he was a son of the late Willis Alfred Landrum, Sr. and Eva Nowlin Landrum.

Willis grew up in Danville Virginia where he attended Danville Community College and Averett College. For most of his career he worked in water and wastewater treatment. He had a wide circle of friends, and if you were lucky you were among those closest to him. He was a free spirit and let his "freak flag fly" and believed in live and let live.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Landrum; a sister, Diane Mangus; a son, Jason Landrum; a daughter, Rebecca Landrum; two step-sons, Ian Hensley and Joseph Hensley; and five grandchildren, Sylvie Epstein-Landrum, Sadie Epstein-Landrum; Tucker Hensley, Ty Hensley and Shelby Hensley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association.

A private gathering will be held at a later date.
