Gretna………William J. "Willie" McAlexander, age 72 of Gretna died Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Born July 21, 1949 in Stewart, Virginia, he was a son of the late William McAlexander and Eva Shelton McAlexander.  He was predeceased by three brothers, John McAlexander, Robert McAlexander, and George McAlexander; and three sisters, Martha Thomas, Dolly Sink, and Rosa Belle McAlexander.  Willie was a farmer; and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, flowers, gardening, landscaping and pulling tobacco.

He is survived by one sister, Bertha Barker of Collinsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Pastor Kendell Smith.
