Gretna……….William Scott Ashwell, age 21 of Gretna died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his residence.
Born May 19, 1995 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Mike and Annette Shelton Ashwell of Gretna. He was a landscaper and loved being outdoors. William loved bon fires, John Wayne and horror movies, video games, and was a Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Alfred James "AJ" Ashwell and Sgt. First Class Christopher Ashwell; one sister, Athena Ashwell; paternal grandparents, Herbert & Hilda Ashwell; and two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Dale Fisher. Burial will follow in the Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
