Altavista……..Wiley Glasier Conner, age 86 of Altavista died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born July 12, 1932 in Rockbridge County he was a son of the late Theodore Hamilton Conner and Letha Arthur Conner. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Conner; and one sister, Nancy Young. Mr. Conner was a farmer who raised cattle, horses and chickens. He enjoyed gardening, driving his tractor and cutting hay.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Tolley Conner of the residence; three sons, Roger Conner and wife, Tammy, Jerry Conner and wife, Dee and Gregory Conner and wife, Jill; three daughters, Gloria Pickral and husband, Timmy, Patsy Robertson and husband, Morris and Teresa McBride; one brother, Kenneth H. Conner and wife, Helen; one sister, Marion Scott; and 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Motley Baptist Church by Pastor Mitch Etheridge.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Motley Baptist Church.
