Evington……….Wilbur Oscar Kelley, Jr., age 70 of Evington died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 surrounded by his family at his residence.
Born October 21, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Wilbur Oscar Kelley, Sr. and Ava Mae Bennett Kelley. Wilbur was the owner of Kelley's Food Shop and was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of the North Carolina State Truck Driving School. He proudly delivered Lane Furniture all around the country and brought produce back to the east coast. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors viewing the natural beauty of the country side.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Blackstock Kelley of the residence; one son, Kevin Kelley of Altavista; two daughters, Cindy Parker and husband, Rodney of Evington and Gwen Robinson and husband, Robby of Lynch Station; four brothers, Otey Kelley II and wife, Anita, Gayre Kelley, Michael Kelley, and Frank Kelley and wife, Donna all of Gretna; four grandchildren, Daniel Robinson, Brittany Robinson, Wyatt Kelley and Abby Robinson.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Straightstone Baptist Church by Larry Owen, Minister and Richard Cocke.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
