Gretna………Wilson Casper "W.C." Cook, age 78 of Gretna died Monday, January 27, 2025 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 28, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late William Casper Cook and Clella Tuck Cook.  He was predeceased by one grandson, Jasper Cook; and two brothers, Obie Cook and Wayne Cook.

Mr. Cook was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and he retired from Klopman Mills.  He loved classic cars and was a die-hard Dodge guy.  He loved music and his family, especially his children.  He was a fine man of integrity that loved all and never had a cross word to say about anyone.  Mr. Cook was the best dad to his children and his children were blessed to have him as a father.  He was a very easy-going man, never complained and was always smiling.  Mr. Cook truly had a heart of gold.

He is survived by one daughter, Penny Green and husband, Tim of Gretna; one son, Robby Cook and wife, Melody of Penhook; one brother, Troy Cook and wife, Wanda of Penhook; one sister, Charlotte Rowland and husband, R.E. of Gretna; three grandchildren, Marissa Johnson and husband, Kody, Kaspian Cook and Riggins Cook; and one great-grandchild, Harlynn Johnson.

Private funeral services will be conducted at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
