Gretna…..Jasper Wayne Pickeral, age 70 of 11177 Chalk Level Road, Gretna died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Gretna Health & Rehab Center.
Born March 26, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late, Jasper Lewis Pickeral and Louise Riddle Pickeral. Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Kitty Midkiff Pickeral. He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and was a retired employee of B & W. Mr. Pickeral enjoyed fishing, yard work and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Wayne Pickeral and fiancée, Kathy Keatts of Gretna and Mark Steven Pickeral and wife, Amy of Gretna; one sister, Joy Pickeral Adkins and husband, Buddy of Gretna; two grandchildren, Caitlin Thomas Pickeral and Alayna Mae Pickeral.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
