Hurt…….Noel Wayne Dalton, age 52 of Hurt died Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Born June 25, 1969 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Mary Layne Dalton of Hurt and the late Owen J. Dalton.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Mark A. Dalton, and Leslie Dalton; and a nephew, Logan Hall.  Mr. Dalton was of the Baptist Faith and he was a superintendent with VSI Construction.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.  Wayne was a Jack of all trades and was always ready to help out.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Zachary Dalton and fiancée, Faith Davis of Bedford; one daughter, Cody Dalton and husband, Sean Rudder of Rustburg; one brother, Richard Dalton and wife, Penny of Abingdon; one sister, Vickie Hall and husband, Sidney of Hurt; one granddaughter, Aldin Rudder; one step-son, Daryl Kershner of Moneta; one step-daughter, Patty Kershner of Evington; three step-granddaughters, Hannah, Savannah, and Temperance; one step-grandson, Landon Lopez; a special nephew, Justin Hall; and three step-nephews, Christian, Jason, and Russell.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Ian Rigney.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.

The family request that anyone attending the funeral service or visitation to please wear a mask.
