Gretna…….Thomas Wayne Creasy, age 76 of 1165 Blue Ridge Drive, Gretna died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born July 4, 1939 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Raleigh Thomas Creasy and Lois Rowles Creasy. Mr. Creasy grew up in Gretna and graduated from Gretna High School. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 24 years as a rural letter carrier. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene Smith Creasy of the residence; one son, Christopher Thomas Creasy and his wife, Stacie Carr Creasy of Hood River, Oregon; and one sister, Barbara Ann Moss of Danville.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Gretna by Rev. Jonathan Hilliard and Rev. R.G. Rowland.
A reception and visitation will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. The family will receive friends at the residence at other times.
