Hurt……….Warren Edward Rueter, age 85 of Hurt died Monday, February 1, 2016 at the residence of his daughter Dinia Bell.
Born June 19, 1930 in Madison, Indiana he was a son of the late Paul Rueter and Edith Reynolds Rueter. He was predeceased by his wife, Adell Rowland Rueter and a brother, Francis Rueter. Mr. Rueter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gretna Branch. He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 232. Mr. Rueter enjoyed working on old cars and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Dinia Sue Bell and husband, William of Hurt, and Marietta Faris of Hurt; five grandchildren, Brian Bell & wife, Shannon, Brandy Smith & husband, Ken, William Wesley Bell & wife, Jennifer, Angela Faris, and Grover Ellington & wife, Erin. nine great-grandchildren Dustin Hannah & wife, Amanda, Savannah Bell, Breyana Smith, Little Wesley Bell, Lucy Bell, Jacob Ward, Caleb Ward, Leah Ellington and Corey Ellington; two great-great-grandchildren, Zoey Hannah and William Hannah; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a caregiver, Alice Mattox.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by President Raymond Elliott. Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232 will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Dinia & William Bell.
