Gretna……Wanda Lambert Ward, age 70 of Gretna died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 10, 1952 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Marco Ellis Lambert and Lucille Robertson Lambert.  She was predeceased by her husband, Donald "Dean" Ward, Sr;  three brothers, Baxton Neal Lambert, James Lambert, and Larry "Slug" Lambert, Sr.; one brother-in-law, Jerry Kelly; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lambert, and Ann Lambert.  Mrs. Ward was the owner/operator of P.C. Design, and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She loved singing in church, going to the beach, traveling, cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Donald Dean Ward, Jr. and wife, Jodi of Gretna; two daughters, Bridget Moon and husband, Patrick of Grit, and Marcia Bradner of Gretna; two sisters, Patricia Kelly of Altavista, and Sandra Delappe and husband, Dwaine of Motley; four brothers, Ronnie Lambert and wife, Phyllis of Altavista, Chester Lambert of Rustburg, Wayne Lambert and wife, Carol of Hurt, and Mike Lambert and wife, Molly of Hurt; a sister-in-law, Pat Lambert of Altavista; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Matt Gaston.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church.

The family will meet at Calvary Baptist Church for a time of food and fellowship directly following the burial.
