Roanoke..........Wanda Yeatts East, age 69 of Roanoke formerly of Chatham died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at her residence.

Born March 4, 1952 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Eldridge Yeatts and Edna Scruggs Yeatts.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Pillow, by her second husband, Paul Bennett East, Jr.; four brothers, Ricky Yeatts, Archie Yeatts, Thomas Yeatts, and Roger Yeatts; and one sister, Myrtle Moss.  Mrs. East was a member of Sheva Church of Christ and she was a former employee at Roses Discount Store.  She enjoyed gardening, painting, writing poems, reading, and cooking.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda P. Fowlkes of Roanoke, and Tammy Pillow of Danville; two sisters, Barbara Rowles of Chatham, and Sherry Johnson and husband, Ray of Dry Fork; three grandchildren, Brandon Kole Fowlkes of Roanoke, Nathan Bedford Fowlkes of Fort Drum, NY, and Lauren Nicole Fowlkes of Danville; and two great-grandchildren, Layne and Liam.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
