Chatham……. Harold Wade Riddle, age 87 of Chatham died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his residence.

Born January 8, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late William Perry Riddle and Daisy Mays Riddle.  He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ann Roach Riddle; one son, Darrell Wade Riddle; three brothers, Perry Hugh Riddle, James Curtis Riddle, and Robert Carl Riddle; and three sisters, Ruby Younger, Dorothy Newby, and Mildred McCulock.  Mr. Riddle was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and he attended Cornerstone Church of Christ.  He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran.  Mr. Riddle was a hard worker; and the owner/operator of Riddle Green House and a former truck driver with Times Fiber.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars and car shows.

He is survived by three sons, Carroll Wayne Riddle of Chatham, Gary William Riddle and wife, Kelly of Blairs, and Stephen Ray Riddle and wife, Judy of Chatham; two sisters, Thelma Waller of Dry Fork, and Judy Osborne of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Hillcrest Burial Park by Ronnie Simpson.
