Chatham……..Virginia Crum Vazquez, age 81 of Chatham passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her residence.

Born September 6, 1943 in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Crum and Vaughnie Blankenship Crum.  She was predeceased by six brothers, Luke, Mark, Matthew, John, Acts and Thomas; and five sisters, Rachel, Martha, Mary, Augusta and Gracie.  Mrs. Vazquez attended Open Bible Baptist Church.  She loved playing Bingo, card games, gardening, and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her husband, William Vazquez of the residence; one daughter, Marie Fox Adkins and husband, Tim of Gretna; three sons, Glen Fox of Gretna, Tony Fox of Gretna and John Fox of Gretna; one sister, Loretta Hoskins of Chatham; five grandchildren, Randy and wife, Brittnie, Cody, Mason, Tyler and wife, Jillian and Maggie and husband, Nick; five great-grandchildren, Elena, Emmett, Eli, Evan and Ivy; one great-grandchild on the way; and two sisters-in-law, Concha Uerta and Maria Mansanares.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Open Bible Baptist Church by Pastor Tim Kyser and Pastor Kendell Smith.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
