Hurt……..Virginia Jane Turnbull McCrickard, age 91 of Hurt died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her residence.
Born July 1, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Willie S. Turnbull and Myrtle English Turnbull. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Nelson McCrickard; three brothers, Billy Turnbull, James Turnbull and Eddie Turnbull; and two sisters, Pernie Turnbull and Helen Gilbert. Mrs. McCrickard was a member at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed gardening and loved to cook.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane McCrickard McLean and husband, Tom of Penhook and Carolyn McCall of Hurt; two grandchildren, Jason Grooms and Jennifer Grooms Francis; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a grandson-in-law, Anthony Francis.
Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Liberty Christian Church by Rev. Tobias Lutz. Burial will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.
