Gretna…..Virgil Gene Willis, age 74 of 1749 East Gretna Road, Gretna, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence.
Born November 15, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Guy Thomas Willis and Una Rowland Willis. Mr. Willis retired from Klopman Mills after 45 years. He enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, and blue grass music.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Ann Riggleman Willis of the residence; one son, Michael Gene Willis and his wife, Donna of Gretna; and four grandchildren, Megan Willis, Amber Willis, Brittany Mattox, and Victoria Delappe.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Gretna Burial Park by Elder Marvin Brumfield.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
