Gretna…..Violet Willis Tuck, age 80 of 608 Leftwich Street, Gretna died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at her residence.
Born October 27, 1933 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Charles Tillman Willis and Roberta Creasy Willis. She was predeceased by her husband, Winfred Junior Tuck and a sister, Edna Love. Mrs. Tuck was a member of Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church, attended Greenfield Baptist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading, and walking.
She is survived by one son, Terry Tuck of Gretna; one daughter, Elaine McDaniel of Gretna; seven grandchildren, David Tuck and wife, Jennifer, Chris Tuck and wife, Tekila, Ashley Tuck and special friend, Angel Crews, Jamie Tuck and special friend, Antwon Patrick, Kimberly Dawson and husband, Jonathan, Stacey Scott and husband, Paul and Wesley McDaniel and special friend, Brittany Dix; and nine great-grandchildren, Caleb, Colby, Madalyn, Jayden, Jordan, Bethany, Gracie, Aaven, and Cole.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, September 26, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
