Hurt……..Vickie Davis Long, age 61 of Hurt died, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her residence.
Born October 9, 1953 in Danville, she is a daughter of Lessie M. Smith and step-father, John Smith of Hurt and the late Reuben Clark Davis. Vickie was a store manager at N & W Sunoco and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to shop and travel; she enjoyed the beach and talking to people.
In addition to her mother and step-father she is survived by two brothers, Steve Davis and his wife, Vickie of Danville and Wayne Davis and his wife, Jeanette of Leeland, NC; five sisters, Cynthia Davis of Providence, NC, Patricia Hicks of Providence, NC, Deanna Taylor of Milton, NC, Tracey Dent and her husband, Doug of Albany, GA, and Annette Koulelis and her husband, Paul of FL; one step-brother, Jason Smith of Ringgold; one step-sister, Wanda Cobb and her husband, Nigel of Seminole, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 4:30 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Wyatt Miles IV.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her mother and step-father, Lessie M. Smith and John Smith, 1841 Grit Road, Lot 24, Hurt, VA 24563.
