Pittsville………Vickie Lee Hodges, age 71 of Pittsville died Monday, July 10, 2023 at her residence.

Born March 26, 1952 in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Victor "Hoot" Gibson, Sr. and Virginia Lee McCune Yates. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Staley. Mrs. Hodges retired from Gretna Health and Rehab. She loved animals, especially her dogs, John Boy, Allie Mae, Biscuit and Little Girl.

She is survived by one son, Andy Hodges and wife, Penny of Gretna; four brothers, Jake Gibson of Pittsville, Paul Yates, Jr. and wife, Rena of Florida, Michael Yates and wife, Cindy of Roanoke and Jeff Yates and wife, Christina of Roanoke; three sisters, Susie Radar of Montvale, Peggy Morris of Roanoke and Elizabeth Frazier and husband, Bobby of Amherst; and one grandson, Devin Hodges of Pittsville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield. Burial will follow at St. Johns Episcopal Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
