Chatham…….Vernon Lee Giles, age 82 of Chatham died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 30, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Chesley Lee Giles and Frances Murphy Giles.  He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Giles Carr.  Vernon was a former employee of Mary Black Hospital and he loved riding horses.

He is survived by three sisters, Patsy Mason and husband, Tom of Gretna, Ruby Giles of Chatham, and Billie Jean Dillard and husband, Carroll of Hurt; one step-daughter, Elisa McCullough of Spartanburg, SC; and two step-granddaughters, Cierra McCullough of Spartanburg, SC, and Andrea Mims and husband, Travis of Piedmont, SC.

Per his request there will be no public service.
