Vera Goodman Neal

Gretna...........Vera Lee Goodman Neal, age 64, of Gretna died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her residence.
Born July 13, 1946 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late John Board Goodman and Elma Lucille Childress Rowland. She was predeceased by her daughter, Candice Neal Perry; a brother, John Board Goodman, Jr.; a sister, Doris Marie Goodman Simpson ; and her step-father, Arthur Rowland. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a home maker. Vera enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, J.D. Neal and his wife, Rebecca of Gretna; one brother, Roger Goodman of Gretna; one sister, Shirley Hull of Gretna; three grandchildren, Jay Neal, Dillin Perry and Hailey Perry; her former husband, John Neal of Gretna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the Rowland Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence of her son, and daughter-in-law, J.D. and Rebecca Neal, 4837 East Gretna Road, Gretna.
