Penhook…….Travis Dale Cox, age 22 of Penhook died Friday, August 29, 2014.
Born April 13, 1992 in Lynchburg he was a son of Rick Cox and his wife, Helen of Elon and Kim Wade Cox and her companion, Richard of Altavista. Travis was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was an electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and riding around listening to music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, William Aiden; two sisters, Dana Rice and her husband, Curtis of Altavista and Rachel Cox of Elon; his fiancée Jessie Kissinger of Penhook; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Marie Wade of Altavista; his paternal grandmother, Rachael Yeatts of Altavista; a maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Wade of Altavista; an uncle and aunt, Tony and Ellen Wade of Altavista; nieces and nephews, Savannah Rice and Eli Rice; and two cousins, Daniel Wade and Nicole Wade.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 1, 2014 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Carlton Gunter and Pastor Butch Boley.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his mother, Kim Cox, 388 Penuel Lane, Altavista.
