Bedford………Tony Ray Preas, age 59 of Bedford died Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at his residence.

Born July 16, 1965 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Joan Cocke Sowell of Altavista and the late Wesley David Preas.  He was predeceased by one sister, Katina Annette Sowell; two brothers, David Preas and Mark Preas; and his stepfather, Robert Sowell.  Tony was the owner/operator of White House Garage.  He was an excellent artist; and he enjoyed model cars, playing guitar, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Jessica Pillow and husband, Terry of Gretna; two sons, Jody Adams and Josh Adams; his longtime friend, Cheryl Adams of Bedford; step-mother, Margaret Cox; one brother, Michael Sowell; six grandchildren, Madisynne Pillow, Peyton Pillow, Brynleigh Pillow, Amberlynn Adams, Dylan Schuster and Jacob Schuster; and nieces, Sydney Preas and Amanda Preas.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jeff Chapman.  Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his mother, Joan Sowell, 229 Eastward Drive, Altavista, VA.
