Chatham………Carrol Thomas "Tom" King, age 77 of Chatham, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at his residence.

Born October 29, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late James King and Clevie Bolling King Adkins. He was predeceased by his wife, Stella Mae Hedrick King; and one brother, James "Frog" King. Mr. King attended Church of God of Prophecy of Gretna and was a retired mechanic with Pittsylvania County Bus Shop. He enjoyed gardening and loved to fish.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Carter of Chatham and Marie Jackson and husband, Carl of Gretna; two sisters, Janie Falls of Pittsville and Kathleen Bates of Spring Garden; two grandchildren, Amanda Carter and significant other, Mathew Ford of Chatham and Karen Lewis and husband, Clay of Lynch Station; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Cox.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Pastor Dean "Buster" Anderson and Pastor Albert Moser.
