Altavista……Todd Lee Barksdale, age 51 of Altavista died Friday, November 18, 2016.
Born November 30, 1964 in Lynchburg he was a son of Dorothy "Dot" West Barksdale of Pittsville and the late Harmon Dalton Barksdale, Sr. He was predeceased by a brother, Harmon "Dale" Barksdale, Jr. Mr. Barksdale was a member at Penuel Baptist Church and was employed by Timken. He enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, beekeeping, grilling, cooking and spending time in nature.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Dawson and Emily Barksdale; one sister, Diane Hall and husband, Joe of Evington; and one sister-in-law, Pat Barksdale of Hurt.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Penuel Baptist Church by Rev. Carlton Gunter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Joe Hall, 1188 Masons Mill Road, Evington.
