Hurt......Timothy Roger Childress, age 38, of Hurt died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his residence.
Born September 26, 1972 in Lynchburg he was a son of Clara Doss Childress of Hurt and the late Lewis Roger Childress. Mr. Childress was a welder and pipe fitter. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and canoeing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wynona Compton Childress of the residence; one son, Timothy Scott Childress of Hurt; one stepdaughter, Rachel Harrison of Winter Park, FL; two brothers, Michael Childress of Columbia, SC, and Darrell Childress of Forest; two sisters, Penny Doherty of Russellville, AR, and Tammie Childress of Richmond; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Edge Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Chris Brooks.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday following the service and other times will be at the residence of his mother, Clara Childress, 3200 Pocket Road, Hurt.
