Gretna……Thomas "Tom" Watson Bailey, age 77 of Gretna died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 23, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Willard Leon Bailey and Heloise Watson Bailey.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Leon Bailey, Timothy "Tim" Bailey, and Donald Bailey; and one sister, Mary Sheila Hughes.  Mr. Bailey retired from English Construction.  He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, tinkering, being outdoors; and watching sports, especially NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, JoAnn Bradner Bailey of the residence; one daughter, Tonya Bailey Earles and husband, Jason of Gretna; one brother, Terry Bailey and wife, Brenda of Callands; two sisters, Betty Myers of Hurt, and Virginia Gay Hines of Dry Fork; and two grandchildren, Chase Moser, and Lilly Earles.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.  Private burial will follow in the Bailey Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
