On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Terry Neil Yeatts, laid down for the night and didn't wake up. He was just one week away from his 65th birthday. He lived his entire life in Gretna, passing away only 2 doors down from the house he was born in. He was born on March 26, 1957 to his mother, Evelyn Jeanette Haskins and father, Cleo Edward Yeatts. He leaves behind 2 sisters, Donna Kay Yeatts and Susan Jeanette Reynolds, and 2 brothers, John Timothy Yeatts and Allen Edward Yeatts.

He worked hard most every day of his life and took pride in being a strong man that could use work with his hands. Terry strived to be a good and honest man, that would make it into heaven with ease, spending many years passing this onto his children.

He leaves three children, two by birth, Kristin Dana Yeatts and Laurie Maegan Stewart, and one by choice, Teresa Amber-Mae Betterton. He loved his girls with all his heart, but the sun rose and set in the faces of his grandchildren, Michael Neil Yeatts, Aurora Evolet Stewart, Melanie AuShae King, and Tevin Deion Carter.

In his last years, he spent most of his time at home, but took joy in small things, like a new project in his wood shop, and a good meal with his best friend Timothy "Willie" Doss, but most of all couldn't wait for a surprise visit from his grandson.

A memorial service will be held at the family farmhouse, at 613 Sandy Rd. Gretna, VA 24557, on his birthday Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 3-5:00 p.m. for any close friends and family that would like to pay their respects.
