Obituary

Lawrenceville, GA……Terry Lynn Crews Dalton, age 57 of Lawrenceville, GA died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at home in her sleep.

Born March 23, 1961 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Millard Crews and Sarah Fielder Crews. She was also predeceased by a husband, Denny Custer; one brother, Havert Crews; one sister, Delsia Gray; and one granddaughter, Angel Hancock.

Terry graduated from Gretna High School and Ferrum College.  She worked for Pittsylvania County Schools for 17 years where she dedicated herself to special needs children. Mrs. Dalton moved to Georgia in 2012 where she was an active member at North Metro Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Terry enjoyed quilting, ceramics and gardening.  She loved going to the beach and sitting in the sunshine.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Dalton of the residence; two daughters, Monica Shelton and husband, James of Hurt and Marcie Krueger of Lynchburg; one step son, Tim Custer of Danville; two step-daughters, Kim Custer of Charlottesville and Sarah Dalton of Lawrenceville, GA; four brothers, Buddy Crews and wife, Carlene of Hurt, Clyde Crews and wife, Shelby of Gretna, Milton Crews of Sandy Level and Howard Crews and wife, Sherrie of Sandy Level; four sisters, Marie Gray and husband, Billy of Sandy Level, Nelsia Chism of Altavista, Glenda Ramsey and husband, Wallace of Sandy Level and Betty Bond and husband, Michael of Gretna; three grandchildren, Owen Shelton, Bradley Krueger and Chelsea Custer; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Ricky Hogan. Burial will follow in the Round Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Monica and James Shelton, 6229 Telegraph Road, Hurt.
