Gretna……Teresa Lynn Dalton, age 24 of Gretna died Friday, March 27, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born June 29, 1990 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of Steve D. Dalton and Robin Hines Dalton of Gretna. She was a member of West End Church of Christ and worked at Sycamore Grocery. Teresa was a graduate and female athlete of the year at Gretna High School. She was an All-District, All-Region and All-State softball pitcher for the Gretna Hawks. She attended Randolph College and was the ODAC rookie of the year in 2009. Teresa loved her Bassett Hounds.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one brother, Donnie Dalton of Gretna; two sisters, Kim Marlow and her husband, Jesse of Bedford and Kelley Dalton of Gretna; paternal grandparents, Acie and Jane Dalton of Gretna; maternal grandparents, Richard (Dickie) and Gereline Hines of Hurt; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Dalton of Gretna; a niece, Allie Dalton; and a nephew, Jesse Ray Marlow III.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Gretna by Randy Parker, Minister, Rev. Jonathan Hilliard and Rev. Lynn Marstin. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
