Pittsville…..Sylvia Lee Riddle Milam, age 69 of Pittsville, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Born July 29, 1947 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late William Curtis Riddle and Alberta Keller Riddle. Sylvia was a retired employee of Ennis Business Forms and was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church where she was a member of the WMU and choir. She loved singing, whether with the choir or solo and enjoyed working with the youth of the church.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Henry A. Milam of the residence; one sister, Marie Pridgen and husband, Clyde; nieces, Jennifer Carter, Mary Margaret Wilkes and husband, Tracey and Penny Cundiff and husband, Melvin; nephew Ralph McBride and wife, Debra; in-laws, Gerald Milam and wife, Elsie, Ryland Milam and wife, Rhonda and Sarah Morris and husband, Grey; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Ryan Patterson. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
