Hurt……Susan Marie Searcy Vaughan, age 67 of Hurt died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Born December 21, 1950 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Leo Isam Searcy and Kathryn Mae Slusher Searcy.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Steven Searcy and Daniel Searcy.  Mrs. Vaughan retired from Abbott Labs and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her Bible and cooking.  Susan's favorite prayer was that she loved, trusted and needed the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Vaughan; one son, Lee Edward Vaughan; one daughter, Virginia Kathryn Burnette and husband, Matthew; two brothers, Stuart Searcy and wife, Phyllis, and Everett Searcy; one sister, Beverly Doss and husband, J.L.; two grandchildren, Robert Benjamin Burnette and Kathryn Marie Burnette; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jesse Vaughan, Ollie Vaughan and wife, Katie, Debra Searcy, Mary Nichols and husband, Nelson, Mae Nichols, and Peggy Saunders and husband, Dale.

Following her request there will be no public service.
