Gretna…….Susan Webb Hunt, age 94 of Gretna passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her residence surrounded by family and her cat, Midnight.

Born September 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Robert Webb and Rebecca Glenn Webb.  She was predeceased by her husband, James Luther "Jimmy" Hunt, Sr.; two sisters, Rochette Allen and Willie Nixon; and two brothers, Tom Webb and Henry Webb.  Mrs. Hunt was a devoted and loving homemaker who watched UVA sports religiously.  She enjoyed searching for good bargains alongside her dearest friend, Nancy Bennett.  Mrs. Hunt was a faithful member of  Anderson Memorial Methodist Church and was cherished by their congregation.  It was her request to have her body donated to medical research.  Her family is comforted in knowing that she has joined her loving husband for all of eternity in paradise.

She is survived by one daughter, Jane Hunt Williamson of Gretna; three sons, Jimmy Hunt and wife, Jackie of Gretna, Robbie Hunt and wife, Heidi of Forest and Tommy Hunt of Gretna; two sisters, Glenda Webb and Kathleen Morris; two brothers, Boyd Webb and Hugh Webb; four grandchildren, Morgan Creasy and husband, Heath, Missy Kee and husband, Nick, Ryan Hunt and wife, Afton and Chasen Hunt; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Creasy, Wyatt Creasy, Wesley Hunt, Elodie Hunt and Madelyn Skinner.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Anderson Memorial Methodist Church by Pastor Miles Shields.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
