Gretna……...Steve Edward Francis, age 59 of Gretna passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

Born April 8, 1967 in Danville, he was a son of Patsy Lewis Francis of Gretna and the late William Edward "Sammy Francis, Jr.   He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Steven "Toad" Ray Hogan.  Steve was a technician at Gretna Tire.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing for catfish and croaker fish; and gardening, especially his sweet potatoes.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rhonda Mayhew Francis of the residence; his godson, David Michael and wife, Cailyn of Gretna; two brothers, Chris Francis and wife, Marcia of Chatham and Andy Francis and wife, Rhonda of Maryland; three sisters, Connie Hogan of Gretna, Barbara Neal and husband, Terry of Gretna and Susan Hall of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Wagner Family Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
