Gladys…..Shirley Ann O'neil Via, age 81 of Gladys died, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 30, 1937 in Franconia, she was a daughter of the late Owen O'neil and Ada Woodyard O'neil.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Bennie Irven Via; two brothers, Richard O'neil and Robert O'neil; one sister, Virginia Doughtery; two grandsons, Stewart Eugene Cross and Robert Allen Howell; and one great-grandchild.  Mrs. Via was a home maker; and loved to swim and spend time with her cat, "Tiger."

She is survived by one son, Bennie Irven Via, Jr. and fiancée, Donna Wilder of Sevierville, TN; two daughters, Betty Callahan and husband, Winfree of Gladys and Roberta Hall and husband, Gilbert of Gladys; one sister, Betty Kevorkian of White Stone; seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Barry Cundiff.
