Hurt……….Shirley Adams Vaughan, age 74 of Hurt died Monday, January 23, 2012 at her residence.
Born September 22, 1937 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Bernard E. Adams and Janie Rice Adams. Mrs. Vaughan was predeceased by her husband, Harry Kesley Vaughan; and two brothers, Virgil Adams and William C. Adams. She was a retired employee of O.A. Smith; and enjoyed plants, and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Romero of Altavista; two brothers, Roy Adams of Baltimore, MD, and Leonard Adams of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Arlene Fuqua of Huddleston, and Linda Bradley of Bedford; and one grandchild, Brittni Romero.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Lynn Marstin.
