Hurt…….Shirley Fifer Overstreet, age 89 of Hurt died Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born September 21, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Letcher Gordon Fifer and Dorothy Elizabeth Tyree Fifer.  She was predeceased by two sons, Elton Overstreet, Jr. and Roger Gene Overstreet; one brother, Douglas Fifer; and two sisters, Pat Martin and Phyllis Mattox.  She loved her family; and enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Joy Moore of Hurt and Deneen Dalton of Hurt; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
