Gretna………Shirley Doss Mills, age 86 of Gretna died Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Gretna Health and Rehab.

Born April 4, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Coleman Lundy Doss and Mary Latisha Hardy Doss. She was predeceased by her husband, Morris William Mills; one daughter, Linda Mills Aylor; four sisters, Irene Floyd, Ethel Dalton, Mary Jane Collins and Bernice Owen; and five brothers, Raymond Doss, Reuben Doss, Sr., Harold Doss, Frank Doss and Leroy Doss, Sr. Mrs. Mills was a member of West End Church of Christ and was a home maker. She enjoyed being around people and loved the time she had in later years and Gretna Health and Rehab.

She is survived by one son, Daryl Mills of Louisiana; one daughter, Peggy Wagstaff and husband, Dean of Scottsburg; one brother, William Doss of Gretna; two granddaughters, Desirae Wagstaff and significant other, Chuck and Kristy Rowland; one step-granddaughter, Donna Gordon and husband, Tony; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ashlen, Ian and Eli; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Randy Parker, Minister. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
