Hurt……….Shirley Robertson Hutcherson of Hurt died Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born November 20th in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late James F. Robertson, and Louella Irby Robertson.  Mrs. Hutcherson was a member of Edge Hill Baptist Church, where she helped fix Monday meals ministry, served as Sunday School Teacher, fundraiser chairman, and representative to the Southern Baptist Convention.  She retired from Klopman Mills after 35 years of service.  She enjoyed flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren, her husband, Tommy, and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy C. Hutcherson of the residence; one daughter, Shelley Brown and husband, Patrick of Hurt; two brothers, Jimmy Robertson and wife, Becky of Hurt, and Roger Robertson and wife, Donna of Hurt; three sisters, Evelyn Wright and husband, Euell of Glade Hill, Chris Dalton and husband, Ricky of Gretna, and Vera Moore and husband, Roger of Hurt; and three grandchildren, Austin Brown, Madyson Brown, and Olivia Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Edge Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Greg Hedrick.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Edge Hill Baptist Church.
