Gretna…….Shirley Brumfield Dalton, age 89 of Gretna died Friday, November 25, 2022 at Gretna Health and Rehab.

Born May 5, 1933 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Ollie Ramsey "Doc" Brumfield and Ruby Dalton Brumfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Edward Dalton; and four brothers, Early Eugene Brumfield, Billy Wayne Brumfield, Donnie William Brumfield and Calvin Ollie Brumfield.  Mrs. Dalton was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and she was a home maker.  She enjoyed going to ball games and watching her grandchildren play.

She is survived by one son, Mike Dalton of Gretna; one brother, Carvel Brumfield and wife, Agnes of Dublin; one sister, Sylvia Hughes of Gretna; and three grandchildren, Mallory Dalton, Nathan Dalton and Blake Dalton.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
