Gretna…...Sharon Bailey Rowland, age 68 of Gretna died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Born January 4, 1953 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of N. Susie Bailey of Altavista and the late William Paul Bailey.  She was predeceased by a special aunt and uncle, Lester and Blanche Dalton.  Mrs. Rowland was member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and she was a retired interior decorator. Her love for her family was unconditional, she loved her grandkids and as "Nanny" she was truly the heart of our family. She enjoyed playing travel softball for many years, traveling, and spending summers in Nags Head.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Danny Coleman Rowland of the residence; three daughters, Shannon Faris of Gretna, Michelle Hedrick and husband, Wendell of Lynch Station and Heather Williams and husband, Aaron of Gretna; a honorary daughter, Meredith Wright-Johnson; two brothers, Herb Bailey and wife, JoAnn of Hurt, Winfred "Wink" Bailey and wife, Kathy of Spencer; five grandchildren, Dakota Hedrick and wife, Micaela, Hunter Faris, Tori Hedrick, Coleman Williams, and Arabelle Williams; and one great-grandson, Gunner Faris.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at Piney Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Joseph Giles, Jr., and Pastor Matthew Speck.  Burial will follow in the Rowland Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
