Gretna…….Gregory Scott Mitchell, age 57 of Gretna died Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 15, 1966 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Robert "Jack" Mitchell and Sylvia Allen Mitchell.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Jackie Mitchell, Terry Mitchell and Jeffrey Mitchell. Scott was a carpenter and of the Baptist Faith.  He enjoyed fishing, cars and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Saunders Mitchell of the residence; one son, Justin Mitchell and wife, Kelsey of Midlothian; one daughter, Hanna Gamez and husband, Christopher of Gretna; two grandchildren, Harper Avery Mitchell and Addison Grace Gamez; a special aunt, Sue Blackstock and husband, Edwin of Evington; and his best friend and dog, Rylynn.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 129 Brights Road, Gretna.
