Hurt…..Sarah Reynolds Kidd, 85 of Hurt died Friday, November 3, 2017 surrounded by her family at her residence.
Born August 9, 1932 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late, Dewey Reynolds and Mary Coleman Reynolds. Mrs. Kidd was predeceased by one son, Spencer L. Kidd, Jr.; one brother, Floyd Reynolds; three sisters, Shirley Conner, Mary Wilson and Arlene Fortune. Sarah enjoyed being outdoors swinging in her swing, and working her vegetable and flower gardens. She lived to serve the Lord and read the Bible thru 43 times.
She is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Spencer L. Kidd of the residence; one son, Roger Kidd of Forest; two daughters, Kathy Kidd of Hurt and Pamela Hall of Altavista; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Church of God of Prophecy, Altavista by Rev. Whit Mayton and Bishop Wayne Murphy. Burial will follow in the Tree of Life Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 10:45a.m. Sunday at the Church of God of Prophecy, Altavista and other times will be at the residence.
