Penhook……Sandra "Sandy" Douglas Grogan, age 76 of Penhook passed away Monday, April 6, 2026 at her residence.

Born May 16, 1949 in Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Poe Kirkman.  She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Stephen Grogan and a sister-in-law, Carol Clark.  Mrs. Grogan was a retired technician with Procter and Gamble.  She loved fishing, mowing grass, her animals and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, James Grogan of the residence;  one son, Steve McCain and wife, Sutharat of Reidsville, NC; four grandchildren, Alyssa McCain, Taylor McCain, Mason McCain and Lanna Seelan; a great-granddaughter, Jordyn Elaine; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Grogan of Stoneville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Grogan of North Carolina and Judy Harris of North Carolina; and a brother-in-law, Charles Grogan and wife, Ann of North Carolina.

Per her request there will be no public service.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the residence.
