Chatham……….Sandra Simpson Yeatts, age 64 of Chatham died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born July 23, 1950 in Campbell County she was a daughter of the late Taylor Oscar Simpson and Virginia Faris Simpson. She was predeceased by two brothers, David Simpson and Junior Simpson. Mrs. Yeatts was a member of Schoolfield Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a former employee of Bassett-Walker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing arts and crafts, scrapbooking and going to yard sales and flea markets.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tommy" Yeatts of the residence; three sons, Thomas Lewis Yeatts II and his wife, Vicky of Roxboro, NC, Troy Lee Yeatts and his wife, Amanda of Axton and Tony Dwayne Yeatts and his wife, Angela of Dry Fork; one brother, Larry Simpson of Gretna; three sisters, Elma Elixson of Pelham, NC, Hula Davis of Gretna and Debra Barbour of Gretna; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Daryl Joyce and Pastor Michael Pressley. Burial will follow in the Simpson Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
