Gretna…..Sallie Virginia Morton Keatts, age 87 of Gretna died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born December 13, 1923 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late William Dave Morton and Eula Dalton Morton. She was predeceased by her husband, John Keatts and a brother, Wallace (Coogie) Morton. Sallie was a home maker and she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning.
She is survived by one sister, Peggy Harman of Texas; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Gretna Burial Park by Frank Fuller, Minister.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her niece, Yolie Knowles, 1468 Andrew Road, Gretna.
