Sadie Reynolds Kersey

Gretna......Sadie Reynolds Kersey, age 85, of 1100 5th Street, Altavista died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1924 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Payne Reynolds and Mary Elizabeth Maddox Reynolds. She was predeceased by her husband, John Thomas Kersey, a son, Thomas Neal Kersey, Sr. and a daughter, Mary Alice Kersey. Mrs. Kersey was retired from General Electric and was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle. She loved to travel, enjoyed crocheting, and collecting cardinals,
She is survived by a grandson, Thomas Neal Kersey; and a sister, Janie Lanier.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Penuel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Chris Brooks.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
