Chatham……….Ryan Lee Compton, age 33 of Chatham died Friday, January 7, 2022 at his residence.

Born March 7, 1988 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Sandra Compton and step-father, Richard Jones of Chatham and the late Roger Lee Compton. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Lois Compton and maternal grandparents, Junior and Frances Roach. Ryan enjoyed fishing, music, doing tattoos, going to the beach and spending time with his daughter, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by two daughters, Rayana Ryan Compton of Gretna and Jayden Nicole Compton of Gretna; one sister, Robin King and husband, Michael of Gretna; two brothers, Roger Compton, Jr. of Danville and Randall Compton of OR; two step-brothers, Josh Jones of Chatham and Matt Jones of Chatham; a close friend, Chris Hutcherson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
